Payment

Online orders made through the uController website are accomplished by way of a Paypal Shopping cart.
If you would like to use a different form of payment, I am certainly open to that. Contact me for details or to make arrangements.
All Payments are to be made in US Dollars. Paypal automatically handles the currency conversion, but there may be a fee they charge you to complete such a transaction.
Foreign orders may be subject to Duty/Custom fees and or taxes imposed by the customer's country of residence. These Taxes or fees are the responsiblity of the receiver, and may be demanded upon delivery by your Post Office at time of delivery.

All orders are shipped via US Post Office. I find that the US Post Office offers reasonably fast service at an affordable rate.
Orders that are less than $200 ship for $5, while orders over $200 enjoy free shipping.
Orders that ship to within the United States will be shipped by Priority Mail or First Class (at my descretion) with delivery confirmation. Paypal sends you an Email when I create the shipping label with the delivery confirmation number.
Domestic orders are shipped within 48 hours(not including weekends), if I cannot ship within this timeframe, I will notify you by email about the delay.
International orders ship by First-Class Mail International. It takes approximately 1-2 weeks for transit, and no tracking number or delivery confirmation number is possible with this type of shipping.
International orders may take a bit longer to get into the Postal system, as they have to be dropped off at a Post Office during business hours, and customs forms must be filled out. A personal email will be sent to confirm international orders, as Paypal shipping is not used for this type of shipment.

Free Support is available for all of the products that I sell. Questions are answered, normally within 24 hours, by email. I can be contacted at Brian@uController.com
The Parallax forums are also a very valuable source of information. There are many contributors to the forums that are SpinStudio users, and most questions on the forum are answered within a few hours (sometimes within minutes) I can't stress enough how helpful and friendly this group of people are!
Search Parallax's website/forum for an answer to your question. The answers to many Frequently Asked Questions can be found with a simple search. *** note - The search function built into Parallax's forum software is hopelessly broken, use Http://search.Parallax.com instead.

The products sold on uController.com come in kit form. Assembly is required before use. You must be proficient at soldering and have some basic soldering equipment and hand tools.
Kits that include Surface Mount parts will have these parts presoldered to the circuit board for you, as not everyone have appropriate tools or skills to sucessfully solder SMT parts.
Please don't let soldering stop you from enjoying our products. If you want the kits soldered for you before they are shipped to you, please contact me and I'd be happy to assemble them for you for a modest charge.
